Going to the Grave Waiting

How many of us are going to go to our grave waiting?
Waiting to take the photos until after we lose the weight.
Waiting to start building that small business until we've saved x amount of money.
Waiting to be happy until after we've won the lottery. (this is a horrible plan)
Waiting to quit that job that is sucking the life out of us until we are old enough for social security.
Waiting to enjoy our family until after we check that text, that email, that snapchat.
Waiting on God to hand us a miracle when all along He placed the shovel in our hand, wanting on us to take the initiative and get to work.
Waiting to make Jesus Lord of our lives until after we get all our partying out of our system.
One short, sweet life. That's all we get here on earth before we head into eternity with Him.
What are we doing with it? Mindlessly scrolling, numbing out, ignoring so many beautiful blessings and opportunities right in front of our faces.
Binge-watching shows that literally keep us stuck in cycles that will never benefit our families.
Making excuse after excuse for why we aren't taking accountability for our choices and actions that got us to whatever point we are at with our health, our finances, our spiritual journey with Jesus.
The only difference between the people you're watching make their dreams come true and you is that they started. They put fear and doubt under their feet where they belong and they jumped in and started.
They didn't have all the answers, they didn't know if each move would help them or haunt them, but they went for it anyway.
Stop consuming, start creating.
Stop making excuses, start making things happen.
Stop ignoring those precious kids, start locking your phone in a drawer and looking them in the eyes!
Preaching to myself here as much as anyone.
I don't who needs to hear it but if you've been on the fence about jumping into that new adventure, here's your sign.
Stop letting fear paralyze you to the point that you're living the same life day after day, year after year, complaining over and over about the same things. No one from Publisher's Clearing House is coming to knock on your door and give you a million dollars. And even if they did, money can't outrun bad habits. Vitamins & supplements can't outrun poor daily lifestyle choices. You're going to have to make things happen by changing your daily habits. Get on your knees. Ask the Lord to show you what you're supposed to be doing. Quit wasting your talent and potential and find the purpose He put you on this Earth for.
One sweet life, friends.
I don't want mine to end while I'm just sitting around waiting.
